8 weeks to Spartan Race Training

Training for a Reebok Spartan Race is no joke. Consider the months-long, cardiovascular training programs that go into a standard 5k, 10k or half-marathon. Now think about the 15 to 30 obstacles that will challenge your strength, balance and coordination?in addition to?your endurance during a Spartan Race.

Your approach to training has to be different. You?ll need to implement a functional training program designed to develop every aspect of your fitness?increasing your muscular strength?and?endurance.

So, how do you do it?

Team Radosta has been training for and participating in Obstacle Course Races since 2011 and we have a Spartan workout plan to get you across the finish line.

Obstacle racing demands total-body fitness ? strength to push rocks and logs, flexibility, and agility to crawl under barbed wire and pull your body up ropes and over walls.

Team Radosta?s Spartan Race Challenge? will get you race-ready for any obstacle event, from a Tough Mudder to a Super Spartan, with workouts that will never become monotonous. The plan includes strength training; sprint work and yoga (to increase joint mobility); push-ups, pull-ups, and strongman work with rocks and logs; and finally a long run or hike to build endurance ? and get you across the finish line.

Team Radosta is now Training for the Atlanta Super and Sprint Weekend October 21-22 at Lake Lanier Islands and we would love to help you train for the race.

You will be training with me, Brett Radosta and? I have completed over 20 Obstacle races and I am a member of the Spartan Trifecta Tribe 2013, 2014, 2015.

If you want to have a fun race it?s time to start training now!
